Last updated: 8 October 2026. Solo play works without an account. Accounts, cloud saves, and competitive games use our server.

Game saves on your device

Boards, settings, daily results, Expedition stars, and personal records use browser storage. A local device identifier prevents duplicate Unlimited records when saves merge. It is not an analytics identifier. Private browsing or storage restrictions can prevent resuming. Clearing site data removes local saves; it does not delete a server account or cloud backup.

Optional accounts

We store your player name, password hash, recovery-code hash, sessions, rating, and competitive results. Passwords and recovery codes are not stored as plaintext. Keep the once-displayed recovery code private. An essential HttpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days; signing out revokes that session.

Cloud progress

Cloud saves are optional. Connect them in Player to back up supported game records and settings. You can merge local records or open your account save. Passwords, recovery codes, analytics consent, and the local device key are excluded. Different accounts use separate local workspaces. Signing out returns to your guest workspace. Disconnecting sync stops transfers but does not delete an existing cloud backup.

Competitive play

Daily time trials and Arena send your crown placements to the server to validate a result and calculate elapsed time. Player names, competitive times, ratings, and ranks are public. Arena opponents can see each other's player names, ratings, and match outcome. Never use sensitive personal information as your player name.

Optional analytics

If Google Analytics is configured, it loads only after you accept analytics. Gameplay events can include puzzle identifiers, sizes, elapsed time, and hint usage. Google can process device and network information and use analytics cookies. We do not attach your account name or recovery code to these events. Use Cookie preferences in the footer to withdraw consent and stop further gameplay tracking. Advertising scripts are currently disabled.

Your choices and support

Use Player to sign out, disconnect syncing, or export a progress backup. Browser settings can clear local site data. Account and server records remain until removed by the operator; contact the operator for access or deletion requests. Contact and bug reports.
