A Queens puzzle solver that explains every move

Most solvers just print the answer. This one uses the same logic engine as our in-game hints, so each step names the technique it uses and highlights the cells involved: a region with one free cell, a row claimed by a region, or two regions reserving two rows. Use it as a hint machine — reveal one step, then try to finish on your own.

Checks your board, too

Before solving, the solver verifies the painted board: every cell colored, exactly one region per row of the grid, and a warning when a color is split into separate pieces. It then confirms whether the puzzle has no solution, one solution or several — useful for puzzle makers testing their own Queens boards.

Queens solver FAQ

How does the Queens solver work?

Paint the colored regions of any Queens board, press Solve, and the solver first checks that the board has exactly one solution. It then replays the solution as a chain of human-style deductions — forced crowns, line locks and region groups — so you can follow each step instead of just seeing the answer.

Can I use it for LinkedIn Queens?

Yes. Copy the colored regions of any Queens board you are stuck on by painting them in, then step through as many hints as you need. The solver runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

What if a board has multiple solutions?

The solver tells you. A valid Queens puzzle has exactly one solution, so a board with several is not solvable by logic alone; the solver shows one valid arrangement and explains why.

Is the Queens solver free?

Yes, it is free with no sign-up and no limits, on desktop and mobile.
